The management of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has put in place every necessary arrangement to ensure full migration of its Industrial, Commercial and R3 Residential customers to the cashless platform.
This was contained in a press release circulated by the General Manager, Corporate Communications Mr. Oyebode Fadipe. Stressing the benefits of the policy, the statement added “This new cashless policy, is dynamic, easy and simple. It has the potential to strengthen our revenue base as a DisCo and improve payment convenience to our customers.”

According to the statement, this move is not only to deepen the company’s cashless policy it commenced in 2017 as part of its customer-centric policy, but also to implement the recent directive of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) issued to all distribution companies as well as comply with the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Effective from February 1,2020 “AEDC customers are encouraged to use any of our 3rd Party vendors to pay online or with their mobile on Paga.com, KallakPower.com and Quickteller.com. Customers can also now make payments at any bank branch and at any bank ATM within the country.”
Additionally, to make the payments less exacting AEDC has made available various self-service kiosks in places such as the Army Estate in Kubwa, Area 3 in Garki, Gwarimpa, Jabi and Lugbe.
