The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the appointment of new national officers.
The new officers are Arch. Waziri Bulama – Ag. National Secretary, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi – Deputy National Chairman (South ) and Mr. Paul Chukwuma – National Auditor.
In a statement signed by Lanre Issa Onilu, the National Publicity Secretary, the party states that the decision was reached on January 14, 2020 at a meeting of the National Working Committee held at the party’s headquarters.
The statement explained that the position of National Secretary became vacant following the resignation of His Excellency Mai Mala Buni from the position in the run up to his election as governor of Yobe State necessitating a replacement from his zone. Arch. Waziri Bulama has now been approved to fill the position though in acting capacity.
“The NWC has also approved the nominations of Senator Abiola Ajimobi as the Deputy National Chairman (South) and Mr. Paul Chukwuma as the National Auditor following nominations from the respective zones”, the statement added.
