By Vivian Emoni

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has expressed commitment to partner with Brazilian government to strengthen and facilitate business opportunities across the country.

Chief Emeka Obegolu, Pesident of the ACCI, made the commitment while hosting the Brazilian delegates to an exclusive reception, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Obegolu said that the meeting would provide a platform for networking, engagement and fostering business partnerships between the two countries.

“I am using today’s occasion to celebrate and honour the Brazilian Ambassador to Nigeria, Carlos Garcete.

“We recognise the ambassador’s pivotal role in strengthening bilateral trade relations and facilitating business opportunities between the two nations.

“We are eager to ensure that the deals initiated here today are not only sealed but sustained, ” he said.

He said that the event provided a unique opportunity to build on existing relationships, while fostering new ones.

“As we wine and dine together, let us create partnerships that will drive mutual economic growth,” he said.

Obegolu said that the gathering was for meaningful interactions, collaboration and the sealing of business deals that could spur economic growth.

While acknowledging the potential language barrier, he said that sign language could bridge any communication gaps, since money was the main purpose of the meeting.

Garcete expressed his appreciation to ACCI for the warm reception.

He said that several Brazilian representatives were keen to discuss investment opportunities in Brazil that Nigerian entrepreneurs could leverage.

He encouraged the two countries to explore mutually beneficial business prospects.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that about 60 Brazilian delegates were in attendance.

The meeting attracted a strong turnout from ACCI’s executive and council members, who were actively engaged in the discussions to forge new business alliances. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
