African Biblical Leadership Initiative set to hold International Conference in Abuja-Jerry Gana

The African Biblical Leadership Initiative (ABLI) has concluded plans  to hold International Conference in Abuja from Monday 21st to Friday 25th of October 2024 at NAF Conference  Centre, Abuja. 

The Chairman, National Planning Committee, ABLI,  Prof. Jerry Gana made this known during a media conference on Thursday in Abuja.

Gana said the International delegation of ABLI leadership visited Nigeria between 21st and 26th of January 2024 for consultation with key leaders in government,  the Church, media and civil society.

“The ABLI seeks to bring about quality transformalion of a naton through value-based leadership that is informed and inspired by biblical values.

“ABLI aspires to achieve this missIon by becoming a non-partisan gathering platform of ideas and a trusted voice throughout Africa. The ABLI Initiative places great emphasis on raising a new generation of highly principled leaders of honour and integrity wih a huge capacity to get things done.

“This Value-Based Leadership Model promotes good governance,  ensures the rule of law, advocates transparent due process, insists on accountability, tackles corruption, elevates excellence in service,  faciltates productivity and delivers development for the people.

“The driving force of a Value-Based Leadership Model is sound integrity of character.  To have integrity is to be  oonsistently good with uprightness of character honesty and probity. in other words, the essentiai mark of a peson with integrity,  is to be candid, honest, faithfut. trustworthy, honourable, upright. genuine, sincere and frank,” Gana said.

He further explained that the conference would have theme and four sub-themes.

“The theme of the conference would be “Values-Based Leadership Model for Africa” (Philippines 4:8). The sub-themes include, The Value of Justice, The Value of Integrity, The Value of Wisdom and The Value of Social Harmony”.

Gana also stated that, there would be Youth Assembly during the conference, adding that the theme for the Assembly is “Arise and Shine: Raising a New Generation of Transformational Leaders (Isaiash 60:1).

“Principle Officers expected at the conference include Retired Gen. Dr Yakubu Gowon GCFR-Patron, His Excellency,  Chief  Olusegun Obasanjo,  GCFR-Chairman, and President Bola Tnubu.

“Special Guests of Honours include First Lady,  Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, former president,  Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and President of the Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.

 “Meanwhile, Barrister Nyesome Ezenwo Wike, the FCT  Minister will be the Host,” Gana said.

Gana further stated that, other social guests expected at the Conference are Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives,  Hon. Benjamin Kalu, governors of Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Oyo, Plateau,  Benue, Taraba, Osun, Abia, Enungu, Anambra, Imo, Edo, Ogun and River States.

He added that all leaders of different Christian bodies are expected to be there.

“Keynote Speakers on Valued-Based Leadership Model for Africa include former Chief Justice of South Africa,  Hon. Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, and the second speakers is, Founder/CEO, Carmel Global Capital, New York,  Dr Zienzi  Dillon.

“Also, Pleanary Sessions Speakers would be Dr Vishal Mangalwadi (Value of Wisdom), Prof  Mike Ozekhome, (Value of Justice),  Hon. Justice Catherine Bamugemereire (Value of Integrity), and Rev. Mrs Juliet Binitie (Value of Social Harmony)

“Furthermore,  Keynote Speakers for the Youth Assembly are, Dr Vishal Mangalwadi and Pastor Poju Oyemade,” Gana said. (NAN)
