Again, Herdsmen, Farmers Clash Leaves 10 Dead in Plateau

The escalating crisis between the Fulani herdsmen and local farmers in the rural areas of Bokkos and Bassa

, Plateau State has resulted in the death of over 10 persons, Military Spokesperson, Major Adam Umar, said.

In retaliation of the tit tat, as part of the cold war, a Fulani herder was said to have been killed by a villager of Ropp native involved in site construction.

The army spokesperson added that five people were killed in another violence between Fulani herdsmen and Irigwe farmers in Gero village.

In another counter retaliation, the herders were also reported to have killed a policeman and a farmer at the Benue State boundary linkage.

While the federal government is assuring that the clashes across the country will soon be brought under control, prominent Nigerians have also been reacting to the escalating insecurity crisis through which innocent Nigerians are being sent to their early graves.

Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, not too long took the government to the cleaner over the spate of tension, insecurity and low economic achievements of the government.

The presidency has however refuted the allegation by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, government is wining the war against insecurity and that the economy is on the path of recovery.
