After rumors emerged earlier on Tusday that the government was trying to get service providers to shut down access to Blackberry service in Nigeria, Mobile telecommuncation company Airtel Networks Limited
in a statement same day informed its customers that it has no such plan.
Airtel also said that it did not receive any instruction from any quarter to shut down its Blackberry Services. “We will continue to offer service to all our customers”, the statement said.
