Benue state Governor-elect, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has approved the list of members to serve in the 12 subcommittees constituted by the Transition Committee of the incoming administration in Benue State.
The Subcommittees are to plan a worthwhile and evocative inauguration and oath taking ceremony of the Governor-elect come May 29th 2023.
The list was jointly signed by Chief Mike Iordye and Dan Ashiekaa, Chairman and Secretary of the Transition Committee respectively.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Communications to the Governor-elect, Sir Tersoo Kulas, the various subcommittees also have the mandate to organize activities that shall herald the main event.
Alia urged the Subcommittees to meet as soon as possible and draw up their budgets for submission to the Secretariat for consideration and approval, as time was of the essence.
While stating that Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Comrade Austin Agada, Chief Stephen Lawani, Dan Ashiekaa and all LG party chairmen in the state will oversee the successful operation of all the Subcommittees, the statement added that the official inauguration of the subcommittees will come up at a later date.
The 11 committees are that of Venue with 24members including a secretary and Chairman and Contact,Transportation, Mobilization and Demobilization committee with 24/members.
Also Media and Publicity with 13/members and Security with 12 members.
Logistics committee has 32/members,while Refreshment, Feeding and Protocol committee has 28 members.
The Entertainment committee has 30members ,as Medicals has 14 and Accommodation committee has 24.
Religious committee has 11persons,while 37 persons will take care of Pre /Post inauguration activities and gala nite.
The Secretariat, Monitoring and Evaluation committee will be headed by 5 persons including the Governor-elect.
