Pressure Group under Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, has slammed the Director of Admin Athahiru Ibrahim of AMAC over misappropriation of revenues and funds in the council.
In a strong statement by the Cordinator of the group , Comrade Suleiman Yahaya, stated that the AMAC Director of Admin, has been showcasing flambouyance and need the head to declare his assets.
He called for account ability in the remittance of “Counterpart Fund” into departments for multiple seminars and workshops.
According to him, AMAC Admin. Attahiru, recently went to Germany and other foreign trips, as he exclaimed that the counterpart fund “was obviously and deliberately diverted into training because they do not owe for training and he wants what can be paid immediately.
Comrade Yahaya, went on to state,” He has also used his associate and company to execute about 8km road in Jikwoyi. He is also sabotaging pocketing the executive,” the group said.
They called on Minister of Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and Independent and Corrupt Practice Commission, ICPC,to investigate duly, the activities of the AMAC admin following the FOI of the head’s current worth which the group says it has evidence to expose.
They added that, “We also have evidences and confessions from the technical partners, consultants, that he collects 25 percents to release any contract award letters being approved by the chairman of the council.
Watchdog further noted that..decides whom to be paid and when not to be paid from any engagement letter for contract, as well as diversion of revenue from the council’s management registry.
“He should furnish us with the revenue management resistry, part of the internal revenue he has generated for even just the period of one year after payment of early year areas; the balance is being diverted by the admin under his watch,”
