The Victor Giadom masterminded meeting of the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress which was scheduled for today Tuesday, 17th March 2020
has been postponed indefinitely. The meeting which had all along being enmeshed in controversy was finally called off.
The postponement was announced after a meeting between the President and the Governors of APC controlled states held at the State House yesterday.
In a related development, the Appeal Court yesterday stayed the execution of the order of an Abuja High Court which restrained Adams Oshiomhole from parading himself as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
The High Court order restraining him from functioning as the Chairman was given on the strength of his purported suspension by his ward.
The Appelate Court’s order was delivered yesterday evening after some initial confusion and delay which purportedly arose from delayed constitution of the court’s panel of judges assigned to hear the matter.
With this Appeal Court decision, the embattled Chairman gets a reprieve and returns to his position to the chagrin of his adversaries.
