The non-national working committee elected members of the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress
have applauded the decision to reappoint them albeit in caretaker capacity.
In a letter dated 14th December,2020 co-signed by the Chairman of the group Abubakar Sadiq Saadu and the Secretary David Okumba, which was addressed to the Chairman of the party’s Caretaker/ Emergency Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, the group stated: ” Non- National Working Committee members hail the resolution of the virtual 9th resumed emergency APC NEC and for our reappointment in a caretaker capacity.”
The group noted that the Governor Mai Mala Buni- led Committee has returned the party to winning ways.
While commending the leadership of the CECPC as well as President Muhammadu Buhari for giving direction to the party, they also stressed the need to give priority attention to the party’s reward system, internal democracy and membership drive.
They pledged to be on ground in their respective zones during the party’s membership registration and upgrade exercise, which was recently rescheduled for the second week of January 2021, in order to ensure a successful exercise.
