Archbishop wants youths to be ambassadors of honesty and accountability.

The Chairman, Interfaith Anti-Corruption Advisory Committee, Archbishop Johnpraise Daniel, says, the fight against corruption is a clarion call for a unified approach in nurturing a future where our youth are ambassadors of honesty and accountability.

The Archbishop stated this at an event in Abuja to address the issue of corruption, cyber crime and fraud.

According to Daniel, “the event marks a significant milestone in our collective journey towards addressing the critical issue of youth involvement in cybercrimes and the pivotal role of religion in molding a generation founded on the principles of integrity and moral uprightness.

“I am deeply honoured to welcome you, Mr. President, as our special guest of honour. Your presence here today not only dignifies this gathering but also reaffirms the unwavering commitment of our nation’s leadership in the relentless fight against corruption and unethical practices.

“The theme of our event, “Youth, Religion, and the Fight Against Corruption,” is a clarion call for a unified approach in nurturing a future where our youth are ambassadors of honesty and accountability,” Daniel said.

He explained further that the gathering of minds- from government officials to religious leaders, from educators to the energetic youth is a testament to our shared dedication to this noble cause.

To the participant, Daniel said their insights, perspectives, and proactive involvement are the bedrock upon which we shall build our strategies to confront and overcome the challenges posed by cybercrime and corruption in our society.

“As we embark on the day’s proceedings, let us be guided by mutual respect, a spirit of cooperation, and a unified vision for a Nigeria where ethical values are not just aspirational but are the defining traits of our national identity”.
