Nigerian and Pan-African music sensation, Ice Prince, made a courtesy call on the Big Brother Housemates in the afternoon. After the stressful morning nominations, Biggie surprised to the 8 Chasemates with Ice Prince’s entrance and it was clear that it was a great surprise going by the way the star singer was welcomed.
Ice Prince’s major’s aim of his visit to the house is to engage with housemates on the topic of extreme poverty and the role of Africa Union (AU) in helping end extreme poverty on the continent.
Just like last season, Big Brother has yet again teamed with ONE Africa to fight extreme poverty in Africa and this week will see housemates engage in tasks to educate viewers about the most pressing poverty issues facing the continent.
With such a move, the show is indeed trying to reach out to everyone especially the underprivileged.
Sharing his thoughts with the Rubies, Ice Prince had this to say: “It’s important that you use your voice and image to speak to Africa. You are stars. You are bigger than Ice Prince. You can also fight extreme poverty.” He advised them to do all they can to impress AU during their week’s tasks so that extreme poverty can be eradicated.
Well, trust the Rubies, before Ice Prince departed, they sang for him “Ice Prince is a Rubie…” and he joined them in a dance session as he exited.
