BBA8: Is Melvin Testing Africa?

Prior to Monday nominations and the evening’s save and replace decision, Melvin’s decision is still on people’s lips.

Nigeria’s Melvin made headlines this week when he decided to risk and keep himself on the chopping block at the expense of other Housemates whom he didn’t want to hurt.

After his last week’s swap decision that sent Hakeem packing, an emotional Melvin is still haunted and he didn’t want to face the same situation of guilt again. But still his guardian decision was and is still the last thing any chaser could do at this young stage of the game with other heads still in the house-after all it’s a game and that is how it has to be.

At least there is one thing for sure we know about Melvin- All the emotional reactions, regrets and the guilt he’s feeling, the dude is not faking. I myself expected this thing from him at any time of the game after noticing some of his Nomination sessions. He’s one of the housemates who has been finding  it hard to nominate a fellow housemate with a valid reason- He even reached an extent of nominating himself sometime back when he was the HOH,….Sounds crazy Right?

Basing on his reason, we now know why Hakeem was his choice to stake for a bet in his stead. Melvin said that,”After witnessing Hakeem being saved two times  by Africa, I thought that he was to be saved this time too but I was shocked when he got evicted.”  It’s from here that I condemn housemates who put up their fellows thinking that they are strong characters in the eyes of Africa yest no one knows how Africa perceives such people.

All in all, what I have to say is that, it not only takes a real man but a hero to think and decide like Melvin did. The fact is that “keeping yourself on the block with two other people you are sure of,  is suicidal” . The worst part of it is when you  even had/have no  clue on how Africa perceives you while in that house.

From some fans’ reactions, it was evident that the decision was received in two different spheres. As some where praising him for it, others were blaming him for playing the game with emotions. But we are also still wondering if he knew his stand or he wanted to test Africa on this and see if they can save him….. Of course some are saving him and others are not.

With a few days to Sunday evictions,we are waiting for what Africa will have decided for the chase’s hero and how fellow housemates will react after hearing his swap decision revelation.

Up for eviction this week are Annabel, Cleo,Natasha, Selly, Pokello and Melvin, hope you are still voting to  keep your favorite housemates in the chase.

Is Melvin testing Africa or he’s being real?
