The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) says it will partner with creative agencies and associations to promote creativity in correctional centres across the country. The Director-General (DG) of NCC, Dr John Asein, gave the hint when he paid a courtesy visit to the Controller-General (CG) of Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS), Mr Haliru Nababa. The Police Command in Kano says it has recovered an unspecified number of cows wandering around the Ranka Hotoro Quarters in Tarauni Local Government Area of the state. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 12 suspected vandals and impounded two trucks conveying stolen railway sleepers. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by NSCDC Director, Public Relations, Commandant Olusola Odumosu. Odumosu said that the Corps had also clamped down on two illegal warehouses with large quantity of vandalised railway sleepers. The Kwara Government has commenced administeration of Oral Polio vaccines for children in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of the state. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has intercepted 48,380 pills of tramadol along Ewohimi road, heading toward Kabba in Kogi. The Police Command in Nasarawa State has arrested a mechanic, Sani Musa-Labaran, 49, for allegedly stealing and selling a car his customer brought for repairs. The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has shifted the date to effect new tariff toll fare at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) from July 17 to Aug. 1. In a statement signed by the FAAN Management on Sunday in Abuja, the postponement was to make the airport users to enjoy more of the current charges. According to the management, the fare for cars will change from N200 to N300, while that of buses and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) will change from N300 to N500 only. It said the truck (six tyres) tariff would change from N500 to N1,000 while the trailer and container tariff would be N2,000. Police in Ogun confirmed the death of six friends after taking alcohol in their friends house in Ogbogbo, Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of the state. The incident occurred on Tuesday, at a drinking joint where the seven friends reportedly gathered to have a nice time. The source said that the deceased and the suspect had a serious altercation at the joint but later resolved their matter. Government offices in Anambra were spending N137 million each month to clean public offices until recently, when the current government took immediate steps to drastically reduce the cost of cleaning. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar has disclosed that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is expecting 51 additional platforms to boost counter-insurgency and counterterrorism operations in the country.
