Copyright commission to partner creative sectors on creativity in correctional centres
The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) says it will partner with creative agencies and associations to promote creativity in correctional centres across the country.
The Director-General (DG) of NCC, Dr John Asein, gave the hint when he paid a courtesy visit to the Controller-General (CG) of Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS), Mr Haliru Nababa.
A statement by the commission’s Director of Public Affairs, Mr Augustine Amodu, quoted Asein as saying that the initiative was part of the statutory mandate of the NCC.
“It is part of our renewed drive to encourage the use of copyright to grow the creative sector,” the statement further quoted the DG as saying.
