Divisional Police Officer resumes duty at Tungan Maje: A Milestone in Community Security.

In a historic event, the Tungan Maje community and its environs welcomed their first Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Nyako H. Musa. This achievement marks the culmination of a three-year journey led by Chief Dr. Amb. Ebosetale David Aigbefoh Esq. and Prof. Sunday Ichado, who dedicated themselves to establishing a Divisional Police Headquarters for the betterment of the community. Chief Dr. Amb. Labour seeks implementation of ILO Convention on violence, harassment

By Joan Nwagwu The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged the Federal Government to implement the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention 190 (C190) on violence and harassment at workplace. Mrs Roselyn Anarah, NLC National Administrative member made the plea on Monday in Abuja, at a two-day workshop organised by the NLC Women Commission. The workshop was attended by representatives from Solidarity Centre, a US based international workers’ rights organisation. Adopted in June 2019, C190 is the first international treaty to recognise the right of everyone to a world of work free from violence and harassment, including gender-based violence and harassment. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized cartons of aphrodisiac products and sex-enhancement drugs worth N12 million in Sokoto.On Monday, the NAFDAC coordinator in Sokoto, Garba Adamu, said that the agency’s patrol team made the seizures during routine patrol operations across markets in Sokoto and its environs. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority says a truck crushed a female riding a motorcycle to death on Monday. The LASTMA spokesman, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed this in a statement. Mr Taofik said the crash occurred at about 6:15 a.m. at Sifax inward Iganmu Bridge. No fewer than five fuel tankers have been detained and three filling filling stations sealed in border towns by the Federal Government. The action was part of measures to stop the smuggling of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol from Nigeria to neighbouring countries.
