Nigerian Society of Engineers pays tribute to late Mbanefo

Members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), on Friday paid tribute to the 21st President of the society who died at the age of 81. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the society held a dinner in Abuja to eulogise Mbanefo. The President of NSE, Mr Tasiu Gidari-Wudil, said that Mbanefo would be remembered for his contributions to the development of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through his legendary engineering prowess. Mbanefo who was also the pioneer president of NSE, Abuja Chapter died on Oct. 27 in Abuja. Group tasks stakeholders on asdressing SGBV

The Abiodun Essiet Initiative for Girls (AEIG), in collaboration with The Girls Pride Foundation, has called on stakeholders in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to take Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) cases seriously, to help address the abuse among adolescents. The group made the appeal at a townhall meeting with women, traditional rulers and some key stakeholders in Kuje Area Council in Abuja. They described cases of SGBV in the country as alarming and worrisome.
