The Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Bala Mohammed has joined the swelling list of high profile Nigerians coming down and been diagnosed positive of the deadly CoronaVirus.
The Governor, SHARPEDGNews learnt had contact with the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar (Mohammed Atiku), who tested positive to the disease in Abuja though now under intensive care by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
In a statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, he said out of the 6 members tested only the Governor tested positive and consequently being quarantined by the NCDC in the State Capital.
He said: “Of the 6 tests carried out, one sample was confirmed positive of the COVID-19. The positive result happened to be that of the Governor Senator Bala Mohammed, who is the state governor.
According to Spokesman, the Governor solicits the prayers of every Nigeria while encouraging those recently had contacts with him to go for test so as to avert the spread of the virus.
