The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was said to have invited Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele the Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University,
Ado Ekiti over financial misappropriation, job racketeering among other allegations which led to the astronomical increase in the overhead costs of the University.
Prof. Bandele, a Deeper Life pastor was appointed as the VC of EKSU by the then governor, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose following the expiration of the tenure of Prof. Oladip Aina in 2015.
Investigation reveals that Prof. Bandele has received upfront payment of his salaries and allowances from the University till the expiration of his tenure as the VC of the institution.
Unconfirmed reports hinted that the VC had spent over 20 million naira for hotel accommodation while the VC lodge was under renovation immediately he was appointed in 2015.
