Breaking News! CBN Enlists Cooperation of Merchant Banks to Interrupt ATM

…as Lai Mohammed Begins Campaign to Discredit End SARS Protests.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has allegedly directed merchant Banks in the country to make periodic interruptions in the operations of Automated Teller Machines (A.T.M).

An industry source told Sharpedgenews at the weekend that the central Bank’s directive became effective from Friday October 15,2020.

The disruptive action was allegedly targeted at cutting the financial remittances, especially from the diaspora, which the government believes has kept the peaceful protests to end police brutality going so far.

Serious interruptions were noticed across South west Nigeria especially in inter-switch withdrawals on Friday. The government has become increasingly jittery and edgy on low to duck energy out of the very successful protests. The sources within the administration in Abuja, familiar with the strategies and tactics of sabotaging such progressive demonstrations in the past revealed that various extreme options of destroying the movement has now occupied critical attention.

The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Lai Mohammed, has already began a subtle, but careful campaign of identifying and mischaracterizing those behind the protests. Lai Mohammed is expected to escalate the plot to discredit the protest this week.
