THE spate of deadly kidnapping of innocent people in Nigeria recorded shocking attention on Sunday, when the octogenarian mother of the federal minister of finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, was abducted by unidentified men.
82-year old Kanene Okonjo, known as the queen mother of Ogwashi Uku, in Delta State, was abducted at high-noon by a group of armed men at her Ogbe-Ofu palace gates, after which her abductors sped away with her.
There is no immediate news of the older Mrs. Okonjo’s location.
