The Supreme Court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria today nullifies the tenure of 5 governors whose tenure expired in May 29, 2011. This decision was taken by a seven-member panel chaired by
Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Dahiru Musdapher.
The governors fired are Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State, Ibrahim Idris of Kogi state, Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state, Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto state and Liyel Imoke of Cross River.
