The Ministry of Budget and Economic Planing on Friday commended its 28 outgoing members of staff for their exceptional contributions to service.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Nebeolisa Anako, made the commendation in Abuja, during a valedictory session in honour of the workers.
Anako expressed gratitude to the retiring staff members for their dedication and commitment, as well as support in the successful implementation of some projects and programmes in the ministry.
“I extend appreciation to the outgoing members of staff for their outstanding contributions. Their support enhanced the mandates of the ministry and bring about effective service delivery.
“I am particularly grateful for their dedication in the services rendered. They help in ensuring a sense of unity within the ministry.
“I must confirm that they serve very well, they are now senior citizens.
“As you are retiring, you cannot be tired, get prepare and ensure you pursue another phase of life, ” he said.
Mr Emmanuel Ukpai, Director, Human Resources, said the ministry was a great family that value its members of staff.
Ukpai also commended them for their hardwork and commitment to service, stressing that they would be remembered for the legacy left behind.
Mr Douglas Iki, outgoing Assistant Director, Economic Growth of the ministry, expressed gratitude to God for making the day a reality.
Iki thanked all the members of the staff for their support as well as recognising their hardwork while serving the ministry.
He advised staff members of the ministry to maintain the ethics of Federal Civil Service with professionalism and discipline. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
