…Adewusi takes over as NIPOST CEO

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday approved the appointment of Dr. Ismael Adewusi as the new PostMaster General (PMG) and CEO, of the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST).
The incoming PMG who is from the South-west, replaces Barr. Bisi Adegbuyi, who is also from the South-west.
The new appointments of chairmen and members of the board of the parastatals fall under the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy led by Mr. Isa Ali Pantami.
Mr. Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement, said the appointment followed the administration’s desire to fastrack the targets and mandate of the ministry.
Though subject to Senate approval the new appointments are as follows: Nigerians Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Adeolu Akande (South West) replaces Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye (South West) as Chairman, Board of Commissioners.
Mr Uche Onwude (South East) replaces Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume (South East) as Non-Executive Commissioner, which is also subject to Senate confirmation.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has Dr Abubakar Sa’id who will be replacing Prof. Adeolu Akande as Board Chairman, with Dr Habibu Ahmed Imam (North West) replaces Dr Lawal Bello Moriki (North West) and Dr Mohammed Sa’idu Kumo as Board Member
Prof. Muhammed Bello Abubakar replaces Architect Yusuf Kazaure, as the new CEO, Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), Kazaure is however moving on to replace Chief George Moghalu as Board Chairman at the NIGCOMSAT, while Dr Najeem Salam replaces Mr. Samson Osagie as Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development with Prof. Abdu Ja’afaru Bambale replaceing Kazeem Kolawole Raji as Executive Director, Technical Services
The statement, added that Mr. Hadi Mohammed replaces Mohammed Lema Abubakar as Executive Director, Administration in the establishment.
