The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) in Nigeria has vowed to clamp down on loan applications that harass customers, including asking Google to permanently delete these apps from its app store. The FCCPC made this announcement in response to ongoing complaints of the continuous harassment and slander by digital lenders in the country. Nigerians complain of receiving calls from these lender companies threatening them over a loan collected by others on their contact list. Muruako said this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will, on Tuesday, arraign former aviation minister, Sen. Stella Oduah, before Justice James Omotosho of a Federal High Court in Abuja on a fresh charge. Mrs Oduah, who represented Anambra North Senatorial Distinct in the 9th National Assembly, will be arraigned on an eight-count charge bordering on perjury and document falsification.
