In recent days, we have been involved in the process of investigating allegations surrounding the 2023 UTME examination results of one of our scholarship recipients, Miss Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme. It was reported initially that Miss Joy scored exceptionally high on the exam, a feat that led to her being awarded a scholarship by our company. However, subsequent reports of discrepancies in her UTME score led us to seek clarification from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and to allow her to voice her stance, we engaged in direct dialogue with Miss Joy. Mmesoma admits to manipulating UTME result

The Anambra State Government Committee on Verification of Examination Fraud involving Mmesoma Ejikeme has said she manipulated her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result. Mmesoma Ejikeme had been claiming that she had the highest score in the UTME with an aggregate score of 362. JAMB, the examination body immediately refuted her claims, insisting that she had been parading a fake result; a situation which generated controversy across the country. On July 5, the House of Representatives had to wade into the matter and directed JAMB to suspend further actions until after investigation is concluded. The embattled Deputy Commis­sioner of Police, Abba Kyari, has been retained in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) despite being granted N50 million bail. Recall that Kyari was granted the N50 million bail by the presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday. Trader jailed 8 month for stealing a wheelbarrow

A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Thursday sentenced a 24-year-old trader , Ahubakar Usman, to eight months imprisonment for stealing a wheelbarrow. The judge, Mr Shawomi Bokkos, summarily sentenced Usman after he pleaded guilty to theft. Bokkos, however, gave the convict an option to pay N50,000 fine and compensation of N12,000 to the complainant. The judge said the punishment would serve as deterrent to other would-be offenders. Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat told the court that the case was reported on June 11, at the “C” Division Police Station by one Clementina Tudun , the complainant.
