OndoDecides2024: Governor Aiyedatiwa Casts His Vote In Ilaje Local Government

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, participated in the ongoing election by casting his vote early in his polling unit. The governor arrived at Igbo Ward 4, Obenla community, in Ilaje Local Government Area at 8:46 am, accompanied by his security aides. He completed the voting process at 8:48 am. This marks an important moment in the election as Aiyedatiwa seeks re-election under the APC platform. Some voters had complained about malfunctioning of some Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines.

Ondo Election: NSCDC Tells Electorate To Exercise Your Franchise Without Fear

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has assured Ondo residents and the electorate of maximum security during Saturday’s governorship election. Tinubu Urges Peaceful Conduct Of Ondo Governorship Election

President Bola Tinubu has urged all political stakeholders and the electorate in Ondo to uphold peace and fulfil their civic responsibilities without fear during Saturday’s governorship election. 13 Dead As Mining Site Collapses In Plateau

At least 13 persons have been reported dead after a mining site collapsed in Bassa LGA of Plateau. Joshua Riti, chairman of the LGA, said the incident occurred on November 10. He added that seven of the deceased hail from Bassa LGA. The collapsed mining site is conterminous with Jos south and Jos north LGAs. This is an unfortunate incident. Mr Olabampe, while reacting to the power outage at UCH, told journalists on Monday in Ibadan that the hospital needed assistance to survive. The Nigeria Customs Service, Area 2 Command Onne, Rivers, has confiscated 21 containers of contraband drugs, donkey skin, and other items valued at over N46 billion. The command’s Comptroller, Muhammad Babandede, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on Monday in Onne, Rivers. Mr Babandede listed the confiscated items to include; cough syrups, Tramadol, fake antibiotics, chilly cutter and sanitary fittings used for concealment of fake drugs. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has smashed two major cross-border drug trafficking syndicates with cocaine and opioids worth billions of naira recovered from them. A statement by the Director, Media and Advocacy of the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday in Abuja stated that six leaders of the cartels were arrested in different parts of the country.
