Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has been sworn in as the sixth Executive Governor of Benue, alongside his Deputy, Dr. Sam Ode. Former President Muhammadu Buhari has returned home to Daura in Katsina State after serving eight years as the president of Nigeria. On May 26, 2023, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) prevented an alleged attempt by two women to sell a two-month-old baby.
