Vandals destroy 6 transmission towers in Rivers -NDPHC

By Constance Athekame The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) says vandals have destroyed six transmission towers and killed a vigilante in the process in Rivers. The Media Adviser to the NDPHC, Mr Sanyan Adejokun, said in a statement on Monday that an encounter between the vigilantes and the hoodlums resulted in the death of the vigilante on the night of Nov. 25. NEMA to distribute Saudi Arabia center’s food donation to 16,000 households in Borno State

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says it has concluded plans to distribute food items donated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid Relief Centre (KSRelief) to 16,000 households in Borno State. The households include Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) living in eight camps and host communities of the state. This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Manzo Ezekiel, Head, NEMA's Press Unit, on Monday in Abuja.
