A Life Taken: Remembering Felix Sowore Olajide
Four years ago, my immediate younger brother, Felix Sowore, was murdered in cold blood on his way back from Igbinedion University. His killers remain unidentified to this day. I still remember the call from my other brother, Akin, on that fateful Saturday morning. He struggled to hide the truth from me that Felix had been murdered, because at the time, the Muhammadu Buhari regime had me restricted to Abuja after an illegal detention and ongoing unlawful treason trial.
What followed was a flurry of calls and commentaries. Some Buhari loyalists rushed to distort the narrative. A social media commentator in Benin, Jack Obinyan, who used to affix Buhari to his name, even tried to dismiss suggestions that dark forces were involved, claiming instead that “serious investigations” were ongoing...
