Traditional Rulers in two Gombe communities have encouraged women to speak out and champion against certain myths that inhibits their progress within the society. The traditional rulers however advised that this should be done within the ambits of acceptable religious and traditional norms of their communities. Gombe Records 54 Snakebite Deaths In 2025- Official

The Gombe State recorded no fewer than 54 deaths from snakebites in 2025, the State Epidemiologist, Dr Nuhu Bile, revealed on Tuesday.Bile stated this in Gombe during the State Public Health Emergency Management Committee meeting in the state. The meeting, supported by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, was chaired by the State Deputy Governor, Mr Manassah Jatau, who is the Chairman of the PHEMC in the state. Bile, while giving the summary of surveillance activities in 2025, said that in the year under review, 1591 cases of snake bite were presented at the snake bite Hospital in Kaltungo. Senate approves three-year 2026–2028 MTEF/FSP projections

The Federal Government has henceforth banned the admission and transfer of students into Senior Secondary School Three in both public and private secondary schools across Nigeria. The directive was issued on Sunday by the Federal Ministry of Education in a press release dated December 14, 2025 and signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade.
