Adeyemi Adepoju, the South-West Zonal Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has reiterated that Chief Dr. Kolawole Adewoyin is the duly recognized National President of IPMAN. Adepoju, in an interview with our correspondent, emphasized that any other individual claiming leadership is an impostor acting in direct violation of the Supreme Court’s declaratory judgment. He stated that while most regions—including the North West, North East, Eastern, and Midwest zones—have shown solid support for Chief Dr. Adewoyin, there remains resistance in the South-West due to the personal interests of some individuals. The Federal Road Safety Corps has described as a landmark judgment a recent ruling by the Federal High Court in Lagos, which affirmed its authority to enforce regulations relating to vehicle number plates. The judgment reinforces its statutory mandate and brings much-needed clarity to its enforcement powers, the corps spokesperson, Olusegun Ogungbemide, stated on Thursday.The ruling was delivered on June 23, 2025, by Justice Musa Kakaki, who dismissed a suit filed by one Ojo Olomi.
