“Celebrating Legal Excellence: Aigbefoh’s call for Change Amidst Insecurity”

By Gami Tadanyigbe

Chief Dr. Amb Ebosetale David Aigbefoh Esq, has received an award of Legal Personality of the year from the National Chronicle Newspaper, for his dedication and hard work on judicial/Societal matters in the country.

On his acceptance speech, he thanked and appreciated the organizers (National Chronicle Newspaper) for the recognition, saying “I am honoured to receive the “Legal Personality of the Year 2024” Award from the National Chronicle Newspaper, though I regret not being able to attend in person today.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you for this prestigious recognition, and I appreciate my respected friend and colleague, Anayo Mbah Esq., for representing me at the event.

“As we celebrate this honour, I would like to emphasize the pressing issue of insecurity in our nation. It is imperative that we tackle this challenge from the grassroots level by empowering citizens to defend themselves—promoting self-defense rather than resorting to self-help.

“The recent tragic events in Uromi, Edo State, where alleged kidnappers faced mob violence, serve as a stark reminder of the need for caution and a measured approach by both the federal and state governments.

“I have communicated my full support to the organizers and look forward to collaborating on initiatives that promote safety and justice in our communities.
