In a groundbreaking initiative, the Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development (CEPASD) launched a training program to empower rural women in Dafara, Kuje Area Council, with biogas technology.
The traditional reliance on firewood for cooking has had severe environmental and health consequences for rural women. However, with the introduction of biogas technology, these women are now embracing a cleaner, more sustainable energy solution.
During the program, participants enthusiastically adopted biogas over traditional firewood cooking methods, expressing gratitude for the life-changing solution. Thanks to the support of the Government of Ireland through the Embassy of Ireland Nigeria, CEPASD will provide and install biogas equipment, ensuring a lasting, eco-friendly energy source for the community.
The event was marked by enthusiasm and optimism for a brighter, more sustainable future.
