The chairman Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Musa Sani has promised to do justice to all the contributions made by stakeholders on Tuesday, He made this known during his remark after listening to the contributions of over fifty stakeholders invited to participate at the public hearing on National Tax Reform Bills deliberated upon by the senate committee on Finance at the National Assembly complex.
The chairman expressed deep appreciations to every one who contributed to the deliberations on the Tax Reform Bill, said that their insights, perspective’s and recommendations have enriched the discussions, and he said ,” it will go a long way in shaping the policies with regards to the Tax Reform, as the Committee will critically examine the aspects of the Tax system that will enhance revenue generated, promote investments and ease the burden of the Tax payers” He further said that the submissions will be thoroughly reviewed and considered in order to ensured the best interest of all Nigerians.
He assures all stakeholders that the Senate and the National Assembly remained commuted to the reforms that will strengthened the economy, and improved the ease of doing business in the country, such that Taxation will be equitable and transparent. Sen Sani therefore used the opportunity to appreciate the Hon.
Minister of Finance, the Hon. Minister of Trade and Investments, and other Ministers present from day one. He extends his appreciation to the chairman presidentialTax Reform Committee for services rendered to the nation, also to the Executive Chairman Federal Inland Revenue Services, for making judicious used of the revenues collected.
He on behalf the Senate president, His Excellency Senator Goodwill Obot Akpabio, the leadership and principal officers, Distinguished Senators and members of the Finance Committee, specially appreciated the cooperation’s received, reiterated that the Senate and National Assembly at large, will legislate on the bills presented by the president, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and will work with team of resourceful conductance on Tax reform to ensure that Nigeria get the desired Tax legislations that will propelled the economic positively.
