Chopper Crashes In Lagos

An unidentified chopper has crashed into a building in the Ikeja area of Lagos.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at 3:30 pm adjacent to AP Filling Station, and United Bank For Africa, Oba Akran.

The chopper burst into flames near Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), its destination.

The Spokesman for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Tunji Oketunbi, confirmed the development to our correspondent on Tuesday afternoon.

Also, an official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) told our correspondent that the chopper burst into flames when the incident happened.

LASEMA also said four persons including the pilot were onboard the ill-fated copter and they were all rescued alive and taken to a near-by hospital.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) also confirmed the accident.
