Cleric tasks Christians on love for humanity

By Bridget Ikyado

The Lead Pastor, Global Family Circle Church, Loveth Asibuogwu, has called on Christians to demonstrate love for humanity in order to advance the development of the society.

The Pastor made the call during a special programme in Abuja with the theme: “For thy love is better than wine”.

“Love heals, mends and enhances development and unity,” Asibuogwu said, adding that Christians should always be their brothers keepers.

“The love of God for mankind is immeasurable,” she said, and enjoined Christians to also follow God’s way.

According to her, it is a demonstration of the importance of love that “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son to die for us”.

Asibuogwu admonished the youth to practice God’s love rather than the love of money and the flesh.

“Love is not rude, boastful and does not hate, love has commitments and it’s equal; if you have the love of God you will not hurt your neighbour,” the cleric added.

She urged all members of the church to love one another, saying where there is love there is peace.

The cleric said the Valentine annual programme was marked by the church to show love to one another.

“We express love everyday, but to Mark St Valentine, we come together, pray and play.

“This will also make the youth to know about love, rather than been on the streets following wrong deeds”, she said.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
