A cleric, Dr Femi Lanre-Oke on Sunday called on Christians to imbibe the spirit of giving to further reap the blessings of God.
Lanre-Oke, General Overseer Jesus Praise Evangelical Ministries International, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) during the church’s Breakfast Sunday Service in Abuja.
According to him, those God gave the grace to be wealthy should know that the privilege is for them to help others.
“No man is perfect, but the grace of God in one’s life differentiates one from the other; nothing is truly ours as everything we own is given by Him and not our own strength or wisdom.
“This is a call to care and stop being indifferent about people around or close to you.
“The Almighty God that rewards givers will never forget you as He works through you to uplift others,” he said.
The cleric further said that the breakfast organised by the church was in line with God’s command.
“Jesus Christ fed with both spiritual and physical food, and that is what we are doing,” the general overseer said.
Earlier in his sermon, Lanre-Oke advised Christians to always believe and trust in God, as well as have positive thoughts in all they do.
He said that over 600 people including children were fed with assorted food during the breakfast service.(NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
