Confusion struck as the state chairman of the FCT chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Sunday Zaka, lost his life in a ghastly accident in the early hours of Saturday, on election day in Kuje.
A close aide to the deceased, Bawa Benjamin, who confirmed the incident through telephone said the accident happened around 2:am along the Gudaba-Arena road, a kilometre from Kuje town.
He said the deceased after attending the party’s closed doors meeting in Abuja, while on his way back home in Kuje, while driving in his Peugeot car lost and crashed into a tree.
According to him, the deceased, who was rushed to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada, was confirmed dead by the doctors.
However, the chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, confirmed the PDP chairman’s death said the incident was a great loss to the party.
