The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has assured that the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke,
will be repatriated to Nigeria to confront criminal charges hanging on her while served the country in public dispensation.
Fielding questions from Journalists, while on a visit to the Ibadan Zonal office of the anti-graft agency, the acting Chairman, vowed that EFCC will bring back Madueke, despite the legal barriers being mounted by her host country in Europe.
EFCC acting Chair, said: “We will ensure that we bring her back to the country this year. We must get her. The foreign countries have no reason to keep her there. This is the fifth year.”
The EFCC boss, wondered while her host country will continue to hold on Mrs. Madueke for so long a time on the pretence of carrying out investigation on her.
Recall that even on her absence the anti-graft agency has secured several forfeiture on her properties and jewelleries valued at $40 million.
