DSS Arrests EFCC Boss, Magu over Corruption Allegations

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has been arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS) in Abuja.

 

His arrest SHARPEDGENews, learnt is coming on the heels of accusations by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN, that Magu is living above his earnings with a predilection of corrupt practices and other sundry infractions unbefitting of the anti-graft boss.

As the heat of his alleged corruption gathers momentum, the other alleged offence allegedly trailing him was the trip he made to Dubai without clearance from presidency during the COVID-19 lockdown.

However, calls made to Mr. Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity yielded no positive result and he didn’t the pick nor return the call.

As at the time of going to press, message sent to his WHATSAPP to confirm the reason for the arrest by DSS has not been read.
