…Describes Him as a Transparent, Compassionate man
The Edo All Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora Council, has called for the support of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the party’s candidate for the September 21 governorship election in the state, describing him as someone who has consistently demonstrated transparency and integrity in his actions and decision-making, adding further that as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hon. Okpebholo has always shown empathy and compassion towards the concerns and challenges faced by his constituents.
In an open letter to the people of Edo state signed by Ambassador Osarodion Osagie, the group’s Director of Media and Publicity, the Edo APC Diaspora Council while congratulating Senator Ekpebholo, over his emergence as the party’s gubernatorial candidate, described his emergence as remarkable achievement and a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to public service.
“Your victory is not only a reflection of your leadership qualities and political acumen but also a recognition of the trust and confidence that your Party and constituents have in you.
“As you embark on this new chapter in your political career, we have no doubt that you will continue to be an outstanding representative for the people. Your passion for creating positive change and your unwavering commitment to the betterment of your community will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the lives of the people you serve,” part of the letter read.
While calling on the good people of the state to support Senator Ekpebholo to emerge victorious in the September polls, the group said however that their call is not based on party affiliation, but because they consider Senator Ekpebholo as a trusted representative of the people due to his transparency and integrity, accessibility and responsiveness, advocacy for community development as well as his empathy and compassion for his people.
“Overall, your transparency, accessibility, track record of delivery, advocacy for community development, and empathy make you a trusted representative for the people. Your actions and commitment to our people’s well-being have earned you our respect, confidence, and the party’s sole governorship ticket,’’ the group emphasized.
They promised to deploy their grassroots and media infrastructures to support Senator Ekpebholo during campaigns, to enable him emerge victorious during the elections slated for September 2024.
Recall that Senator Monday Ekpebholo, the Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District, was on Friday, February 23rd, 2024, declared as the candidate of the party for the forthcoming governorship election in the state, after he polled 12, 433 votes to defeat 11 other aspirants in the contest.
