The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday arraigned former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC), Mr. Andrew Yakubu and oil magnate, Jide Omokore on a four count charge of money laundering.
They were arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Other defendants to the charge are: Victor Briggs, Above Membere and David Mbanefo.
The corporate defendants are: Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited.
Mr. Yakubu was appointed as NNPC GMD in 2012 by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
