EFCC Launches After Odili, Ohakim

There are strong indications that former Governor Peter Odili of Rivers State and the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, are next in line on the list of prospective leaders that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, may want to prosecute for the looting of public treasury, money laundering and sundry financial crimes.

Sharpedgenews.com reliably gathered that the EFCC has retained the services of Nigeria Bar Association’s former president, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), to set into action the relevant legal framework that would add impetusto setting aside “the unprecedented perpetual injunctions” that restricts the anti-graft agency from prosecuting Odili.

According to insides sources at EFCC, “the cynicism amongst Nigerians on the untouchable and sacred cow ego of Odili has become more instructive in wanting to do a more thorough job of prosecuting erring Nigerian leaders.”

Reports recieved late Monday night indicate that Ikedi Ohakim has gone into hiding and it is not yet clear if he would give himself up. At dawn on Monday, former Gombe State Governor, Senator Danjuma Goje, gave himself up to EFCC officials.
