Afenifere Chieftain and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State,
Prince Adedayo Adeyeye has urged Muslim faithful in the country not to relent in the prayers for Nigeria and President Goodluck Jonathan-led federal government.
He said; “The peace now being enjoyed in the Northern part of Nigeria is an indication that the prayers of our Muslim brothers and sisters during Ramadan fasting period were answered and we should not stop praying for the country and its leaders now that Ramadan has ended.
In a goodwill message to Muslims signed by the Director General of Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM), Hon. Bisi Kolawole, the governorship aspirant urge Muslims to also intensify the reading of the Holy Book, Quran even after the
Ramadan, adding that; “Since it was during the month of Ramadan that the Almighty Allah (SWT) sent down the Quran as a kind of mercy to humanity, our Muslim brothers and sisters should continue to honour the Holy month by making the Holy Quran their number one companion.”
“As Ramadan 1434 ends with today’s Eid-il-Fitri, I join all Mumineen and Muminat to say Alhamdulilah for seeing the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
“I urge Muslims in Ekiti State in particular and Nigeria in general to remain steadfast and continue to uphold all the tenets of Islam because it is only when we do the will of Allah (SWT) that His mercies and grace will continue to abide with us,” he said.
