Stakeholders in Nasarawa State, used the occasion to advocate for peaceful coexistence among citizenry in Nigeria, while speaking with the media in his residents Karshi, Nasarawa state, a three times councillor and current SSA to Nssarawa State Governor on Urban Development Agency, Hon. Mai-so Huru Gude, aka (Okonkwo) said Sallah is a special day for everyone in Nigeria Muslims and Christian because according to him, we are serving one God in the face of peace and development. “Christians have been with me since morning, we eat drank and celebrated in one accord, Christmas and Sallah alike.
“: I single handedly fourth for a Christian to become councillor ward 1 Karshi for five years, following the footsteps of His Excellency the amiable Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. A. A. Sule who is a professor of both Bible and Kuran, a peace loving personified. He is the reason behind the relatively peace we are enjoying in Nasarawa State” Hon. Huru enjoys the youths live in peace and focus on education which he said without, cannot attain Excellent in life pursuit, he emphasized that, even the farmers need education in order to flourish in farming. Hon. Maiso Huru Guide is philanthropist per excellent, whom has be impacting his immediate communities in diverse ways, including the sharing of over 250 5kg bags of Rice during the period of Sallah , alongside other family necessaries. The gesture of which he said, if it can be replicated across the country, there wouldn’t be so much out cry of hunger in Nigeria. Speaking in same direction, was Hon. Musa Saidu Guide, representing the good people of Karshi /Uke Constituency in Nasarawa State, prayed for peaceful coexistence among populace, he said Muslims and Christians have been celebrating Christmas and Sallah over the years, but the end results have not been encouraging, adding that Imams and Pastors has encouraged disunity in the country, Hon Musa’ Saidu praised the Nigerian Musicians both Muslims and Christians singers for preaching peace, love and unity in their songs.
He Gude emphasized that, living in peace with one another is optimum because it fosters development, he urged all Nigerians to put sentiment aside, and embrace love which is greatest in human existence. Talking about Projects executed since assumed office, Hon. Said said he did a lot of empowerment in his constituency, such as borehole, scholarship for the students, construction of culverts, Road Maintenance, paying of hospital bills, etc, “I’m eager to do more within the remaining two years of this administration because the legacy will speak for me when I’m no more” Still on the empowerment, Hon. Guide said, he partnered with some Civil society organizations sometimes to train his vconstituency women with skills, after which, they were empowered with start up capitals to go and set up their businesses. Continuing, he said he did same in Lsfia, whereby, some male youths were trained in different field of endeavours, and given start up capitals to start a living, recently, “I called group of women together and gave them start up capitals to go and establish businesses for themselves”‘ . In summery, Hon Gude said, if one do the right thing, God will compliment his or her efforts.
