The former Speaker of the House of Representatives in the 8th National Assembly, Yakubu Dogara today returned to his former party,All Progressives Congress(APC).

He was seen earlier in the day being presented to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House by the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni , who currently doubles as the Chairman of the APC Caretaker / Convention Planning Committee.

Buni old the press that Dogara has returned to the APC.

Dogara, who represents Bogoro/ Dass/ Balewa Federal Constituency since 2007 in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, has since his return in 2019 after his stint as Speaker in the immediate past House maintained a very low profile.

It is not clear what his grouse must have been with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he is crossing from but politicians in Nigeria are known to regularly from party to party whenever they feel that their interests are threatened as they are hardly drive by ideologies or principles.

He reportedly refused to speak to State House Corresspondents but is expected to speak to the press later.
