Senator Philip Aduda representing the FCT at the funeral service of the late chairman of Kuje area council, Hon Danlami Etsu Zhin, described him as a man of substance who empowered and served the people diligently.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Danladi Etsu Zhin, died last week of an undisclosed ailments at a private hospital in Abuja.
Speaking at the funeral service of the deceased held at the ECWA Action Area 2 (AA2) Kuje, on Wednesday, Aduda, noted that late Etsu Zhin, has made good use of the opportunities he had to serve the people of FCT and Nigeria meritoriously.
He said though, the deceased potentials were yet to be fully harnessed before his untimely demise, saying “nobody can question God for the deceased death”.
He said the deceased was a man of substance, known for simplicity, diligence, respect and brilliance, saying one will easily notice and find simplicity, diligence, respect and brilliance in such a man of substance that is admired for all those virtues
“It may not be out of place, therefore to say that unfortunately his potentials were not fully tapped before death came calling” he said. He added “We must however, thank God for a life well-spent by late Etsu Zhin. Through his opportunities, he served and contributed wholeheartedly to the development of FCT state and Nigeria,” Senator Aduda’s added.
Aduda, said the deceased death has indeed cheated the people of the FCT, which he said the deceased will be greatly missed.
He prayed for God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost, saying the deceased death was indeed a great loss not only to the people of Kuje alone but FCT at large. On her part, the wife of the deceased.
Mrs Paulina Etsu Zhin, in her testimony recalled how her late husband, trained four orphans that leave with them in which one of them is now a medical doctor.
She said the remaining three orphans are now graduates, which she said was through efforts of her late husband. She described her late husband as a father that always cared for not only the family but other people he came across in all ramifications.
“Even though, we do disagreed sometimes and that is natural. And the other thing I liked
about him again is that, whenever he travelled, he will buy clothes for our children and he will buy my own too ,” she said.She, therefore, appreciated Senator Philip Aduda and well wishers for standing by their side till his demised. The chairman of Kuje area council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, described his late predecessor as man of principle, saying the deceased death was great loss not only to him and his family but entire good people of the council.
“And I also believe that my predecessor’s death should be a lesson to all of us, because every life must test death,” he said.
He prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost. Our correspondent report that the remains of the deceased has been at his private residence in Kuje.
Among dignitaries that attended the funeral service included the FCT commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Ezikel Dalhattu Musa, six area council chairmen, permanent secretary, Dr Aboki Zhawa, top politicians, top senior police officers, friends and relatives of the deceased. (NAN)
