Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, representing Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Comrade Ezekiel Dalhatu, has tasked the Gbagyi Media practitioners to focus more on investigative Journalism in promoting Peace and unity in the Territory.
The Commissioner who made the call during a courtesy visit by Gbagyi Media Forum Nigeria, said investigative Journalism will go a long way to expose some challenges faced by the indigenes in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
Dalhatu said there are communities facing infrastructural challenges ranging from lack of potable water, Healthcare facilities, Educational facilities and access road networks which has not been properly showcased in the media.
According to him, with the outbreak of cholera in FCT and other related illnesses, there was need for the Federal Capital Territory Administration to enhance healthcare service delivery and provide portable water to some communities in dear need.
He said that the Forum should work towards organizing elections Debate for Area Council Chairmen in the forthcoming February 12, 2022 FCT Area Council Elections.
Commissioner appealed to the indigenous media to be facial in their reportage to brings development and Progress in the Territory.
Responding, the Chairman of Gbagyi Media Forum, Nigeria, Mr Sunday Gbegbe said the Forum has come for familiarisation visit to covey their congratulatory message to you on your recent appointment, Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission representing Federal Capital Territory.
Mr Gbegbe said the Forum is looking forward to partnering with the Commission to further enhance our collaboration to promote Peace and Unity among the natives and residents of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
The highpoint of the visit was the presentation of Congratulatory message letter to the Commissioner, Federal Public Complaints Commission representing Federal Capital Territory by Gbagyi Media Forum, Nigeria (NAN)
