President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of 209 Chairman and 1258 board members to fill the various vacant positions in Ministries,
Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as the constitution of the governing boards of the agencies and parastatals.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Mustapha Boss, which was made available to Sharpedgenews online in Abuja, the president said the appointment was to give proper governance and oversight structure for MDAs, adding that it is also to build strong institutions of governance.
The appointments the statement added take immediate effect.
Among the new appointees are: Gen John Shagaya rtd, Chairman NIPSS, Barr. Bukhari Bello, Chairman, FRSC, Senator Ago Arise, Chairman for Science Technology, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Chairman, FAAN and Senator Demola Seriki, Chairman for Maritime Academy among others.
