FG lauds APC chieftain on contribution to national development

The Federal Government has lauded the contributions of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Ogunbiyi Agba Adelana (aka Baba Agba) to national development, urging upcoming politicians in the country to emulate him.

A representative of the presidency, Mr. Samuel Ighodalo, delivered the goodwill message at the weekend, at a buffet organised by Adelana, to herald presidential campaigns for the party in the Abuja municipal council, ahead of next year’s presidential election.

Adelana, a holder of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) national title, the presidency noted, had even crossed party borderlines in his contributions to ensure that less-privileged Nigerians were assisted in various forms.

“We bear the goodwill message of the presidency to appreciate what you have done for the society, especially in the noble way you have been helping he ordinary Nigerians to thrive. “We, as such commend his attribute to other well-to-do Nigerians and say this is the way o go, for he Nigeria his administration seeks o build,” Ighodalo applauded.

In his reaction, an elated Adelana, who will turn 65 come next December, said, “I am greatly humbled by his high recognition, coming from the quarters of our God-given President.

“I’m fully convinced that the coming presidential election is going o be a walk-over for our great party, the APC, considering how the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has put the tottering Nigerian economy on the path of recovery.

“Besides, Nigerians are elated on the relentless war being waged by this administration against corruption, especially those being perpetrated in high places.”
