By Dele Ogbodo

President Muhammadu Buhari, has finally made up his mind to contest elections in 2019.

He made the position known at the party’s National Executive Council (NEC), meeting which is still ongoing as at the time of filing this report.

The meeting is which is being attended by top party echelons, had the Senator President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara in attendance.

The president in what seems like a volte face against his recent position on his party’s leadership has asked members to grant waiver to Chief Odigie Oyegun, who is still the current Chairman of APC.

Additionally, he is throwing his weight behind other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) interested in re-contesting their seats.

In the same breath, he appealed to members of the National Executive Council in its ongoing meeting to grant waiver to the party’s top hierarchy should they want to re-contest their seats.
